Exciting day today! I was murdered! More on that in a bit.
First off, my Professional Writing class. I was surprised today when I found that the building that my tutorial for this class was being held in the ICT, possibly the coolest school building I have ever seen. The ICT, the communications building, is built along a row of really cool, rock garden style courtyards, and the facility is itself built on the third floor of a parking garage. I'll put pictures up next time I'm there.
The TA for the tutorial is also probably one of the most badass journalists I've ever met. He is a native Australian who is working graduate school right now, and during introductions he kept referencing the time he spent interviewing Balinese kidnappers, or Columbian death-squad executioners. Incredibly interesting guy, and I'm sure to learn tons from him about writing in general.
Yeah, about my being murdered. This is called Murder Week at IH because the RAs run a game called Murder. The way the game works is, people sign up, then at the start of the week, they are issued a small plastic fork with someone's name on it. They then have to "kill" the name that they have by stabbing their target with no witnesses around.
Little had I known that the game had started this morning. As I was sitting in my room, innocently watching an episode of Spaced, my killer crept into my room and stabbed me. Afterwards, we had a pretty nice chat about the game, and I got to meet the friends he had brought along. Nice guy, my murderer.
I have Photo Design lecture and studio tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to rent a camera from Uni soon, then find a way to resume posting pictures. Later!

To the Late Jack Kligerman-
ReplyDelete(I don't like the sound of that!)
Although Murder Mystery Week does sound like a lot of fun! Does this go all week and is resolved by Friday? Are you the only "victim"?
